The Gauss Research Laboratory Inc., a corporation organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, is the managing organization of the Puerto Rico Top Level Domain and is the entity responsible for providing a stable and secure management of the .pr domain. It is our responsibility to provide registry services in response to the needs of our customers and stakeholders and to ensure that our systems conform to relevant standards, enabling global interoperability.

The .pr ccTLD is a dynamic registry with a solid infrastructure that provides a service of excellence to the Puerto Rican and to the global Internet community. Nic.pr provided the vote needed to form the North American region according to the ccNSO and ICANN agreements and currently participates in various working groups such as the internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) and the ccNSO regions. As part of its commitment to contribute towards the development of relevant technological standards and in accordance with this role, Nic.pr has already implemented IPV6, Anycast and DNSsec technology.
